I know that I use about 11 billion other websites with various articles on Mustangs, figured that I could not hurt to keep a thread of them here.

hey geoff do u have a torque arm and did u remove ur upper control arms?
The "front spring install" DIY is pretty much insane! I've just finished cutting my springs by one coil so I had to take out and put the springs back in. I thought of doing the same as the DIY guy did, but when I started I realized that all that stuff is not necessary. You don't need to take your brakes or the tie rod away. Or the whole strut.
What do you have to do step by step:
1.Loosen the Strut Bar End Link.
2.Compress the springs with the compressor
3.Put the jack underneath the A-Arm
4.Loosen the 3 bolts under the hood that hold the Strut
5.Lower the jack down (the whole A-Arm with brakes and all should go down)
6.Than compress the spring again with the compressor ONLY if it still hasn’t popped out
7.Cut the spring
8.Put the spring back in (that a pain in the ass :D:D)
9.While the spring stands in it's place Hold it with smth like a “Jemmy” (so it don't slip out) and jack the whole thing back up
10.While jacking make sure the Strut Bar End Link goes it to his place.
11.When the strut is in it's place tighten it up with it's Bolts
12.Take the Spring compressor (s) away
13.Put the wheel back on
14. The End
P.S Maybe he had to do all that cause of his huge Spring compressor. I used these: http://polytropia.com/images/cherokee/SpringCompressors1.JPG
