You are starting a world ahead with the SN95 car. A lot of the work that we have done to the Fox car is simply upgrading it to SN95 parts.

First I would throw on a panhard bar, coilovers, and some tubular front control arms and take it to the track. Next step would be subframe connectors. None of these mods will hurt street-ability.

thanks for the response i guess that is a great thing to hear. do you know anyplace to get these parts and would they be adjustable because i know this sounds crazy but i would also like to road race this car. Is that possible? Also the car already has lowering springs

The same setup will work for road racing as well, and the panhard and coilovers are adjustable. I have had good luck with Maximum Motorsports, www.maximummotorsports.com.

Geoffrey, what about rollcage ? Isn't it "a must" for drifting ?

Up until the point where you will be doing tandem drifting, you do not need a cage, only a helmet. Once you have your car working well and you are comfortable behind the wheel, a cage will be required before you can do tandem.

I did my cage very early on because my buddy was moving his shop, and my window of opportunity was limited. All that being said, you will want to do at least subframe connectors before you do much drifting, as these cars tend to tear apart in the middle near the base of the seats.

Remember, you can keep a full interior with subframes, but that is out the window once a cage is in the picture. Especially considering that you will need to have real door bars and a diagonal crossbar in the main hoop. This is because most drifting organizations require a 6-pt with door bars for tandem.

I don't care about safety requirements, we don't have any professional drifting organizations here in Russia. I thought rollcage is essential for chassis stiffening.
I already have stock subframe connectors (2003 Mustang Mach 1). I want to put Steeda 3-pt strut tower brace under hood - are you sure that will be enough for serious drifting ? I want to be sure that my car will remain in one piece :)

sorry for my poor English

No problem. The cage will add stiffness to the chassis. I could tell a difference right away, especially the rear portion. If you do the main hoop and rear bars, it will give you most of the benefit. It will also provide a place to mount a racing harness.

I will take a picture today to make it more clear what I am talking about.
