would i be able to run MM front control with the forward geometry
in stead of the stock geometry would this yield positive or negative effects of the steering angle
I am now running the forward offset SN95 arms. I changed from stock geometry SN95 arms. They do limit steering angle more then the standard offset arms (due to rim clearance), but they improve the suspension geometry up front and allow more caster.
Right now my 17x8 30mm rims are hitting the LCA at lock. I think that going to an 18x8 25mm wheel up front will solve the interference issue, but it is still not an optimal solution, as you can never have too much angle.
A good alternative is to call Griggs Racing (707.939.2244) and ask them about the new arms that they designed for Dan Pina's car. I think I see a set of these in my future, as well as, a dual caliper e-brake setup.
in your post, it says that its aone off item, how much is something like that gonna cost, i mean they are sexy but the MM have a tag of 450 will these be priced more or less, and if your required to run factory calipers for competion then that means i cant run race craft spindles can i? so does that mean i can run sn 95 spindles and drop the coil overs to obtain the needed hight? thatnks for all the help
Unless you are going to run Formula D, don't worry about the spindles. All the other drifting organizations that I know of don't have any rule about spindles.
As for the price, I'm not sure, just give them a call, can't hurt.
I actually called as soon as i saw the post. They said they would call me back on it. I just been to busy to follow up on it. I will pay whatever they cost. Those control arm would be worth it.
yeah i guess, but im more worried about the 1 off part, but if they will make it i dont care. and i did plan on runnig in any drfit competition i could once i got the car drfit worthy
I just got off the phone with Griggs. They said they can make them and they will cost right around $800. You will have to put down a 50% deposit. Another thing they told me was that they are in the process of moving to a bigger place, so if you do not place the order soon, you will be wait around 5-6 weeks for the LCAS. Im putting my order in tomorrow.
mmmm, my budget for my "un-needed" toys was $250 this week, let me call griggs and find out how much those arms will cost, if there too outrageous then im sure i could make some time to swing by and pick up those arms im only about 20 min away

oh and since your running the forward offset you wouldnt happen to have the standard ones anymore would you, i would gladly buy them from you :)
Actually I do have them. They have the urethan bushings.
How does $300 sound?
well looks like lx beat me too it, so yes those lca's are definatly not on the list or in the budget, if you could do 250 that would be great.
