I am sorry if this has been covered somewhere else but as i told you i plan on running the steeda 5 link, so a side exhaust will be mandatory as well as i have always wanted a side exhaust who where or what made the ones that you have, custom job or pre packed kit, if it is custom do you think you could possibly send me some info on what you guys did to make your own?

Here is our setup. Really simple, made by the muffler shop for around $150. We are going to have to make some modifications for the subframe connectors, but I will post up some pictures when we do that.

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of a really simple setup with almost no cost and I want to hear your opinions about it.
I want to cut out all the catalysators and mufflers and make it simply free-flow exhaust (maybe trough sides, like yours).
The reason I want to do this is cause when I drift a lot the catalysators are getting on fire :D and make lot's of smoke.
I just want to know won't it limit my engine and it's work? Won't it be bad for it? (I know that turbocharged engines work better with free-flow exhaust, but what about atmospheric engine?
Thanks for your opinions

I run the car with no mufflers, but left the catalytic converters in place. It is my opinion that removing the catalytic converters does not have any benefit, and may even hurt performance, but many people in the Mustang community just take them out and use an off-road h-pipe.

i made a side exit for my car one pipe on each side. funny thing is i did it in the driveway using 2 spare H-pipes and one set of tailpipes. i juss pie cut them to get the angles i wanted. sounded awesome specially in the higher rpm but it was way too loud for driving everyday on the street. heres a pic not very good tho.

looks good i want to go with the newer side exhaust look, like from an 04 roush, i plan on finding some kind of wider side skirts and cutting them then using the same side exits from an 04 roush

Yeah, I think I'm going to get BBK Shorty Headers and use the BBK O/R H-pipe and Flowmaster American Series that came with the car. :-)
