Website Feedback
First off I wanted to thank everyone here on the site for making DriftMustang as successful as it is becoming. I know that the forum software we are using is not exactly top of the line, but I am working constantly to make it better.
Last night I incorporated Flickr into the site, so now you can use it to host images for use in the form and on your User Profile page.
To see your profile page, simply click the My account button in the menu at the top of the page, or http://www.drift50.com/user/. Click on the edit tab and you will be presented with the ability to change your username, password, avatar, etc. If you click on the button you can add details about yourself such as location, car make/model/year, age, and AIM screen name.
If any of you guys have suggestions/request for the site, let me know, or drop them here in this thread, and I will see what I can do. One feature that we are considering building, is the ability for all users to create a blog page like the ones that David and I currently use. Any interest in that?

Also, I have added Google ads to the forum section of the site, but you will not see them if you are registered and logged-in to the site.
PM's would be perfect.
I think there is a way for me to add PMs. I'm gonna look into that.
a "garage" maybe
How do people feel about getting an email update when we go to the track or post new videos? It would be something you opt-in for of course, no spams here.
I am all for it, o'course.
yeah that would be great!
stickies on sum threads would be cool like the "introduce yourself" one.
Bored Monkey,
I went ahead and took your advice, and pinned the introduce yourself thread at the top.
Thanks!
how about an events section?
The time thing in the post throws me off. Who's time is that?
I think it's set for Greenwich Mean time. Geoff can adjust that, me thinks.
How does everyone feel about an events section? Sounds okay to me.
yea id love to have an events section if it would have events updated as recently as possible, i kno some forums that still show like 2 year old events lol
Done, events section added!
email thing - do it :)
Useless trivial data about this site.
More useless trivia or less?
More
Dish it up till we cant take it anymore.
I think it would be awesome to be able to have blog for each user. I like the garage idea too. Email updates would rock! However it would be redundant unless the emails include information that you cannot RSS to on the site. A Statistics page would be nice to just see how many users there are, how many online, new members, and how many views you get per day/week/month/year with a graph all in one place. I love useless information. LOL. It would be cool to see how popular this site has become.
MUSTANG BLOG
a garage would be sweet with a section for blogs and cars
Another feature that would be awesome would be the ability to find other users near you. Drifters on the east coast are hard to find and Mustang drifters are even harder. I have only met 2 and that was in person at an event. 1 SN95 and 1 S197, no Foxes. Could at least have a section dedicated like the events part to different countries and states or regions. I would really like to network with some Mustang drifters in my area!
MUSTANG BLOG
I think i could whip up some sort of google map deal that shows where people are from. Of course, it will take time. :)
That would be GREAT! Thanks!
MUSTANG BLOG
a user ranking/classing system would be sweet along with like a reputation system for like wen ppl buy parts from them and weither the fell thru with it or not, and PMs lol

Area code would be good enough, me thinks.
I'd kind of like a database of all the drift Mustangs. We could list modifications with pictures and etc and it would be searchable so it would be possible to show it to all. Kind of like a Cardomain but with out all the riff-raff Tempo's and Caravans with streetglo and spinners.
I think there is a limit to these forums. While there may be a price involved, using one of the more popular forum coding could end up being a benefit with the number of extra features offered, like an easy search or expanded profiles.
This site is built on Drupal. Drupal can do anything. :)
