I had a drift day, otherwise I'd have gone also, but thought I'd share these shots of a rally Foxbody Stang from my friend Tom who did get to go.

All Tom knows about it is 383ci V8, Nokian rally tires, etc.
Enjoy,
Jay
And some looking around, I found out the Driver/Co-Driver: Mark Utecht-Stacy, MN and Robert Bohn-Noblesville, IN.
Here's a vid from last year at the same event (Lake Superior)
And here's one from this year at the event those pictures are from.
Another (short) vid at Ojibwe National Forest

That's awesome.
I don't know what the drivers notes mean, but damn they sound cool.
Spotter is DAMN good at what he's doin.
the lower the number, the tigher the turn and obviously small jump is just what it is...
crest means a small hill, cut means cut the corner (idk if he says that)
not sure about the 120, 140... im guessing thats the distance in relation to his info
I can think of a few people that would like to be a navigator...or at least they seem to like to tell people how to drive.
1987 Ford Mustang
30 40 , 50 120 etc. Is the distance between corners
You guys probably never knew this, but I actually competed in club rally like this years ago (2003 I think) in a Group 2 car (same class as this mustang), and let me tell you it is the NUTTIEST auto sport out there. They turn you loose with a book of notes, and thats it. You're out in the middle of now-where, hauling ass, beating the shit out of your car, driving on the edge in completely trusting your poor navigator. Its hairy, and not for the faint of heart, or those on budgets. Its an awesome sport.
A couple moments there made my A$%hole definately pucker. I'd looove to do it some day.
thats crazy
yeah rallying is crazy fun. the numbers as in 100 or 60 are the distance between all the obsticales that he is saying and they are usuall in yards i believe. that navigator is not that good actually, not talking sh!t, i know its a hard job to read a book when someone is hauling a$$ but listen to this
