The "Barn" is where the Drift Patrol(s) live, and recieve 95% of its maintanence and repair. Located in the southern tip of the Bay Area, my crew is made up of my loyal buddies working hard for nothing but the glory. Marcus or "Snoop" lives here in San Jose and uses the "barn" mostly to service his and his buddies cars, and make a little side-cash. In the beginning of 2007, my buddy (and now crew-chief) Albert moved our tools, parts, and cars into the barn for what became an incredibly busy season. I've put in a few 24-hr straight builds in the barn myself, but this is nothing in comparison to the work the crew over at the Barn have done all season.
Having found a last minute ticket to the bay area for Christmas, I'd thought I'd stop in and shoot some quick pictures of the Barn to show everyone how our operation works. The good news was the Barn is now the cleanest I've seen it ever- with all tools sorted, cleaned, and parts well organized and put away.
The bad news was I found DP2 outside with no windows and the cage beginning to show surface rust. What started out as a quick visit, quickly turned into a 4-hour cleaning/painting session to ensure the cage and interior dont get any further rusted until I can afford to "properly" paint the interior.

Nice profanity on the trash can in the background.
I actually cut out the picture with the "water pipe" on the table....
this is "free" labor after all..
HAHA
Also, I am ready to run the car with no front doghouse after looking at those photos.
You know what they say:
"Ass, Grass, Cash; No Body Rides for free."
btw, Albert and Marcus are great guys. I had the pleasure of meeting them this season.
Thanks Geoff. That garbage can is just a canvas for releasing some pent up stress. We spend a lot of time in the barn for not only DP I & II, but for our own work as well! Thanks to my Crew for putting in those hard hours and just Handling what needs to get done...Marcus, Cory, Jim and Kevin. Scott and Juan, You guys too!! Happy New Year fellas! We'll do it all again in '09.
